Dr. John La Stella Jr.

Managing DVM

Dr. John grew up in Charlotte, N.C. where he attended East Mecklenburg High School and graduated from UNCC with a Bachelor of Science. He then went on to earn his DVM from The Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island.

After graduation, he started his career working at Freedom Animal Hospital. In 2003 he came to The Pet Hospital and later became the practice owner in 2009. He has a special interest in rigid endoscopy and orthopedic surgery.

He is married; his wife runs their boarding facility in Charlotte with two children, 4 cats, and 1 dog. His spare time is spent playing golf or attending home games for the Charlotte Hornets or the Carolina Panthers.

Dr. Natalie Bryant
DVM

Spending the majority of her childhood out west, Dr. Natalie Bryant spent her early years exploring the high deserts of Wyoming and mountains of Utah with her family. She garnered a love for animals and nature there that transferred with her when her family moved to Tennessee.

Since graduating in 2002 from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Bryant has been working in the Gaston County area as a small animal veterinarian. She has been employed with The Pet Hospital since 2009 (over 11 years). Her special interests include preventative care, internal medicine, and feline medicine. Her greatest joy is helping her patients live their best lives.

Dr. Bryant has four furry cats, two fun-loving human children, and one amazing husband at home to contend with when not caring for patients at The Pet Hospital.

Dr. Rubi Ramos

DVM | Bi-lingual en español

Dr. Rubi Ramos has treated animals with compassion from an early age. When Dr. Ramos and her family would visit family in Mexico, she would go to the little corner store by her grandmother’s house to buy a bag of dog food. She would stuff her pockets full of kibble and hand it to any stray dog she came across.

Since then, Dr. Ramos has continued to provide care for animals by pursuing veterinary medicine. She graduated from Ross University in 2022 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She lives at home with her husband and their five cats (all foster fails).
